I am inspired to paint things that I find beautiful every day whether it is a dramatic evening sky or a child
playing in the surf.  I am moved by subjects that evoke a general sense of joy or tranquility. As a portrait
painter, I work to capture the personality and essence of a subject.  It gives me great joy to know that
someone feels positive emotions while looking at something I created.  I strive to make every portrait a
painting that can stand the test of time and will be cherished for generations to come.  I love to create simple,
elegant compositions with an overall thoughtful, joyful or pensive mood.
