New Class
The lives and Techniques of the World's Most Famous Artists
A combination of hands-on painting and art history. Take a different masterpiece home from each 5 week
session
Session 1 Luminous Landscapes Like Monet - This class starts with a trip to a museum to study a Monet
painting up close; analyzing brush stroke, canvas, priming and colors used by the this master of
Impresssionism. Then, students will create a painting of their own home, garden or special scene with the
luminous light and airy feeling of a Monet while learning about his life and techniques along the way. Instructor
will provide paints and canvas prefered by Monet.
Saturdays 9:00am - 12:00pm 5 weeks
Museum trip: January 9: Painting sessions: Jan 23, Jan. 30, Feb. 6 and Feb. 13
$200 plus supply fee paid directly to the instructor
Upcoming series will include Vincent Van Gogh and Mary Cassatt to name a few.
Techniques in Oil Painting ( age 11+)
This traditional oil painting class will walk students through the process of creating a painting on canvas.
Students will become familiar with materials and time-honored techniques that will give them a strong
foundation as an artist. Adrienne Kralick has been studying art since she herself was a young teen and has
developed a system of painting which takes the best from the Old Masters, Impressionists and artists of today.
The class setting is a supportive and encouraging environment which adapts itself to the skill level and needs of
the individual artist.
Fridays, January 8 - March 19, 3:30pm - 5:30pm Great Falls School of Art $300 plus $20 canvas fee paid
directly to the instructor

Traditional Oil Painting Techniques – All levels
This class is tailored to help each students at their own level whether beginner or advanced, with an emphasis on
the concepts and painting techniques that can be learned from great paintings throughout history. Beginning
students will work on still life or photos chosen by the instructor to fit their skill level while advanced students
work on paintings of their choosing. Everyone benefits from the instructions given to others in the group.
